Azelaic acid (NOVACID DC9) is primarily used for the production of dioctyl azelate (DOZ), a plasticizer. Its other applications include serving as a raw material for fragrances, lubricants, oil agents, and polyamide resins. DOZ is utilized as a cold-resistant plasticizer for cables, films, artificial leather, etc., featuring low volatility and excellent aging resistance.
